We are located in South Oxfordshire, and we know that it's important to help and support our community in some way.

This organisation aims to improve the quality of life for those who live or work in rural Oxfordshire. For example recognising the importance of the village shop

in the local community, and helping to create visiblity and recognition for the services it can offer to local residents. If there is a shop in a village it can be a godsend and a lifeline to the community - it's very important for us all to support these shops wherever possible , and buy from them frequently.

My grandmother (Lilian Cooper) used to run the village shop in Sandon, Staffordshire, so I have a strong affinity with the challenges and rewards of owning and running a business like this.

Artistic talent seems to flow through our family! This is a small business started from scratch by my sister Kate. One day she decided that a shady corner of her garden needed brightening up, and came up with the idea of creating a mosaic mirror with the design of a poppy in it - and she hasn't looked back since!
